Notification For RRB Group-D

The RRB Group D exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) to recruit candidates for various non-technical posts in Indian Railways. The posts are typically related to Track Maintenance, Catering, Porters, Trackmen, and other manual labor-related roles.

Established in 1998, RRB is responsible for conducting examinations and selecting suitable candidates for various technical and non-technical posts within the Indian Railways. Qualification/Who Can Apply:

Minimum of 10th grade (SSC) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit:

18–33 years (Relaxations are available for certain categories like SC/ST, OBC, etc.).

Exam Pattern:

The exam is usually in two phases:

CBT (Computer Based Test):
- Sections: General Awareness, Mathematics, General Science, and Reasoning.
- Duration: Typically 90 minutes.
- Number of Questions: Around 100.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
After qualifying the CBT, candidates are required to appear for a Physical Efficiency Test based on the post they applied for.

Syllabus:

Mathematics : Simple calculations, Number system, Time & Work, Percentage, Profit & Loss, etc.
General Awareness: Current affairs, Geography, Economy, History, etc.
General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (10th grade level).
Reasoning: Analytical ability, Verbal & Non-verbal reasoning.

Selection Process:

CBT : First, candidates must clear the written exam.
PET : Those who qualify the CBT will be called for the PET.
Document Verification : After clearing the PET, candidates are verified based on their original documents.
Final Merit List : Candidates are selected based on their overall performance in the exam and PET.

The salary typically ranges from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 (depending on the post and location). Other benefits like allowances, pension, etc., are also included.
